I love Alice Waters too and was lovingly reminded how delicious and amazing Chez Panisse is. But what's most admirable about her passion for food is showing kids how food goes from seed to plate and how to cultivate a well-rounded attitude towards food. She's is a huge part of the food revolution and it's nice to know that there are other fans of Alice Waters within the group. Yay!

Kathleen comments on An Interview with Tiina

Great interview! Thanks Dave and Tiina! I used to live in San Francisco and I miss the open-minded California people, the hiking, the biking, the emphasis on sustainable living in places you would never expect and the general excitement about life! I had the privilege of eating at Alice Waters' Chez Panisse once and the food was both beautiful and delicious. What an exciting field you are involved in, Tiina! Brava!

Danielle comments on An Interview with Tiina

Great post! Alice waters is someone who I am currently researching for a school lunch project here in NYC. What she's done for school lunches is incredible and should be implemented all over the country!

Catherine comments on A Changing Identity: A Woman's View of her "Disabled" Label.

Thank you, Maya and Lieke. I love the way you have deconstructed the term "disabled." Lieke, it is clear that you destroyed any notions that you would have a "small and contained" life - instead, you are conquering the world! Bravo.

Gaby comments on Healing Foods (Part I)

This was wonderful Norah!
Again, I can't believe I forgot to check this blog for so long, I love it!
I really appreciate your honesty and the wisdom that comes through in this post. I've had similar experiences and can relate so much to using my compassion for animals, and the environment as a way to have compassion for myself. I'd love to talk to you more about this, can't wait to hang out this weekend!

Christine (The Raw Project) comments on A Changing Identity: A Woman's View of her "Disabled" Label.

What an amazing post, very insightful and inspiring. I loved her comments for someone just starting out. Gena's eating suggestions are so approachable and I love how real she seems. I especially loved the advice to amp up the meals. I used to follow the suggestion to eat 6 small meals. I was always hungry and was ALWAYS focusing on the next time I got to eat. And I was gaining weight. I switched to three, bigger meals a day and I'm much happier now. I'm not constantly hungry and not constantly focusing on eating.

Kathleen comments on A Changing Identity: A Woman's View of her "Disabled" Label.

This is such an incredible post!
