Fly Right into the Future

Today I fly south to Lafayette, Louisiana. I could not be more excited as this is my first time to The Pelican State (also known as The Bayou State or The Holland of America)! I've been listening to The Pine Leaf Boys and the True Blood Soundtrack all day to get in the mood.  

More to the point, as I was checking in online at Delta.com yesterday afternoon I noticed an option to have my boarding pass sent to my mobile device. Hold up. A mobile boarding pass? Yes, it is exactly that.

A Paperless Society

When I got my Amazon Kindle last year, the idea of a paperless society began to seem like a real possibility for my life. I used to dream of having an amazing house with a vast library containing many leather bound books (thanks Anchorman!) and many plays and musical scores. I imagined that this room would have a Steinway Grand Piano in the middle and all the books would be stacked and abundant, towering, yet organized and beautiful. As the years have past and I've had to move a few times on my own (book boxes are very heavy!), my dream began to change.
